Dear Kid Works Families,
Today Governor DeWine has announced the closing of all childcare centers to the general public at the close of business Wednesday March 25th. At that time we will close operations at all centers. The Governor also announced that some centers will convert to what he is calling “Pandemic Childcare Centers” to serve families defined as “essential personnel” starting Thursday March 26th through at least April 30th.
NOTE: Two of our locations have been asked to serve as Pandemic Childcare Centers, and MAY participate – these two locations are: Kid Works Forest Park on Pellston Ct. and Kid Works Hamilton on Erie Hwy. So as of close of business Wednesday Kid Works will be closing all four locations and then at a later date our Forest Park and Hamilton locations MAY be open as Pandemic Centers.
These Pandemic Centers are for families in our community that have been established as essential personnel such as: First responders, Fire Fighters, Police Officers, EMT’s, Medical Personnel, Nursing Home Personnel, Grocery Store Personnel and others as defined by the Governor’s office which will be clarified moving forward. During this time we are not authorized to accept any other children other than those established as essential personnel. PLEASE NOTE: All current families who are essential personnel could be served at these two centers if opened.
We want to reassure all current families who may not meet this criteria that your child’s enrollment at our centers will be preserved and when Governor DeWine allows us to reopen to the public we will resume normal operations as before. Please continue to check our Facebook pages for latest updates. We will also communicate directly with you throughout this time.
It’s also important for all families receiving Publicly Funded Childcare to understand that your eligibility is not at risk during this time.
We are honored to have two of our quality programs selected to serve our community and meet the needs of essential personnel during this crisis and we appreciate the support and cooperation our families have shown allowing us to stay open and serve them thus far.
